This National initiative of CWSA (in partnership with the Development Bank of SA – Jobs Fund) commenced in 2013.

This 3 year initiative is aimed at strengthening the SSPW within and outside of CWSA through facilitating and mentoring potential students in obtaining qualifications in Social Work and Social Auxiliary Work.

The primary objective of the programme is to produce 15 trained and certified Social Workers and 500 trained and certified Social Auxiliary Workers.

CWSA Member Organisations are key participants in the programme. Learners are firstly drawn from existing volunteers and care workers within CWSA and then from other Partners.

Upon certification, Affiliate Members will have first opportunity of employing the Workers in order to strengthen their professional staff capacity.


ECPAT

(End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes)

ECPAT is a global network of organisations and individuals working together to eliminate child prostitution, child pornography and the trafficking of children for sexual purposes. CWSA is a member of this international Body.

R

All CWSA’s awareness campaigns and lobbying and advocacy initiatives are reported to ECPAT thereby raising awareness and highlighting the plight and situation of vulnerable children in South Africa on the international arena.
