CWSA Board Member: Mr Sharm Maharaj

Mr Sharm Maharaj is serving his second term as the Child Welfare South Africa National Board and its National Executive Committee. He is the Senior Manager: Events and Protocol at the eThekwini Municipality. Maharaj has been the President of the Phoenix Child and Family Welfare Society for 10 years. He is a founding member of the Society and has served as a dedicated and committed Child Welfare volunteer for the last 32 years.

 

He is also the Chairperson of Ghandi Hospital and past chairperson and currently member of the Governing body for the Greenbury Secondary School. Mr Maharaj also served as the Chairperson of the Tender Board on the Durban Metro Council and a member of the International Convention Centre (ICC) for 10 years.
